How do I start a group ride?
Tap + (Create group). Share the code at the top, or tap the QR icon so riders can scan it. Riders tap Join and enter the code.
Why can’t my group see me?
Check that location is allowed for RideRadar (“Always” on iPhone, “Allow all the time” on Android) and that you have mobile data. Your rider number appears in your rider card once the app reaches the server.
My position stops updating when the phone is locked
On Android, allow RideRadar to run without battery restrictions (Settings → Apps → RideRadar → Battery → Unrestricted). On iPhone, set Location to “Always”.
How do roles work?
The host taps 👥 Riders, then a rider, to make them Spearhead (leads), Sweeper (closes the back) or Support (marks turns). Everyone else is a Member.
How do I plan the route?
The host taps the map button, chooses where the ride starts, then taps points on the map. RideRadar follows the roads between them. Tap ✓ to share the route with the group, then the arrow button to start directions.
How does SOS work?
Hold the red SOS button for 2 seconds. Every rider in the group, and viewers following you, get a loud alarm with your position. Tap “Cancel SOS — I’m OK” to stop it. SOS does not call emergency services.
How can my family follow me?
Tap your name at the top, turn on “Share my position with viewers”, and share the group QR or link with them. They join as Viewer and see only you.
Does it work with my helmet intercom?
Yes. Voice directions and alerts play through any Bluetooth intercom connected to your phone.
Does it work on Android Auto or CarPlay?
Android Auto works on compatible screens. CarPlay is coming once Apple approves it.
